What this course is

Accounting Foundations is a 24-module, hands-on bookkeeping course. Each module gives you a short lesson, a worked example with a fictional business, practice questions, and a real assignment. Modules build on each other — take them in order.

How each module works

Read the lesson and follow the worked example with your own copy of the numbers
Answer the practice questions to check yourself
Complete the assignment and knowledge test, then submit through the portal
A reviewer reads your work and sends personal written feedback
Fix any material errors and resubmit if asked — this is normal and expected

Getting help: AMi, your teacher assistant

AMi is your built-in teaching assistant. Ask it to explain a method, clarify a term, or walk through a similar example — that is what it is for. AMi will never solve your assignment or test questions for you: the work must be yours.

When you need more than an explanation — a grading question, a problem with your account, or something AMi cannot resolve — AMi escalates it to your instructor, who responds within 3 business days.

How you are graded

Knowledge test: minimum 80 out of 100
Practical rubric: minimum 3 out of 4 on every criterion
Material errors must be corrected before the module counts
Completion of all modules plus the course-level final review earns your AskMarcio Academy certificate of completion

Tools you will use

Assignments are done with ordinary spreadsheets. Download the course templates (journal, ledger, bank reconciliation, trial balance, adjusting entries) from the course page or the links in each module — they work in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice.

A note on honesty

Submit only your own work. The point of this course is that you can do the bookkeeping — copying defeats it, and reviewers check reasoning, not just numbers.
