These terms cover your use of askmarcio.com, its articles, downloadable resources, Learning and Job Hub materials, and the AskMarcio Academy learning environment ("the Academy"). They do not cover paid consulting engagements with AskMarcio.com or Serafim Dpaulla Consultancy, which are governed by the separate agreement in place for that engagement. By using the site or an Academy account, you accept these terms.
Educational content, not professional advice
Articles, courses, guides, and Learning/Job Hub materials on this site are educational and informational. They are not legal, financial, immigration, tax, or individualized career advice, and using them does not create a client relationship. For advice specific to your situation, engage Marcio or another qualified professional directly.
Academy accounts
Academy enrollment is free and currently open by invitation or application. You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- Maintain only one learner account, unless expressly authorized.
- Keep your password confidential and not share account access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Use your own work in all assignments, exercises, and assessments.
Learner accounts are licensed for personal, non-commercial learning use. They may not be sold, transferred, or shared.
Acceptable use and learner conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit work that is not your own, fabricate submissions, or misrepresent your effort or results.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse instructors, reviewers, staff, or other learners.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute course materials; circumvent access controls, enrollments, or security features.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, or malicious content, or use the platform for anything unrelated to coursework.
- Manipulate or attempt to manipulate the AMi assistant, assessments, or review processes.
- Misrepresent AskMarcio credentials, or use another person's identity or credentials.
- Create multiple or automated accounts, or otherwise abuse a free service.
Suspension and termination
Violations of these terms may result in a warning, suspension, or termination of access, at Marcio's discretion and consistent with the severity of the conduct. Serious violations — including credential fraud, harassment, security attacks, or unlawful activity — may result in immediate termination. Where practical, you will be notified of the reason and may appeal by emailing [email protected] within 30 days. On termination you lose access to courses, submissions, and account data. Credentials already issued remain valid unless they were obtained through fraud or misconduct, in which case they may be revoked. Marcio may also suspend or discontinue any course, feature, or the Academy itself; reasonable notice will be given where practicable.
Storage is not included
The Academy accepts file uploads and drafts only as part of coursework submission and review. AskMarcio is not a file-storage service: there is no obligation to retain submissions, drafts, attachments, or learner-uploaded files after they are reviewed, and quotas or limits may be applied. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you submit, any feedback you want to keep, and any credential documents issued to you. See the Privacy Policy for the retention schedule.
Credentials
Badges, certificates, and transcript documents issued by AskMarcio Academy are records of completion for free educational programs. They are not academic degrees, accredited college credit, government certifications, or professional licenses, and may not be represented as such. Employers and institutions decide for themselves whether to recognize them. Verification depends on the credential registry record; documents that cannot be verified against an authentic record are not valid.
AMi, the on-page assistant
AMi provides on-page help about site content, courses, and your own learning view. It runs in your browser on content already on the page or catalog; it does not send your learning records to an external AI service, and it is not a grader — human review decisions are made by reviewers, not by AMi. AMi may be unavailable, limited, or corrected at any time.
Using the site's resources
Free downloadable templates, checklists, and guides are provided for your own personal or professional use. You may not resell them, republish them as your own work, or redistribute them at scale without permission. A link back and credit to askmarcio.com is always appreciated when you do share them.
Books
Links to Marcio's published books lead to Amazon or another retailer's own listing, which has its own terms and handles the actual purchase. This site does not process book sales itself.
Accounts and submissions
When you submit information through an available contact form or resource request, you're responsible for the accuracy of what you submit, and for not submitting anything unlawful, abusive, or intended to disrupt the site.
Intellectual property
The site's design, original articles, course materials, and downloadable resources are Marcio Dpaulla's work unless otherwise credited. You're welcome to quote and link to them; wholesale copying isn't permitted. You retain ownership of your own submitted work, while granting AskMarcio the right to store, review, and display it back to you as part of the learning service.
No warranty
This site and the Academy are provided as-is, free of charge. While they're kept accurate and current on a best-effort basis, no guarantee is made that every page, link, course, or resource is error-free, available without interruption, or retained indefinitely.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the site grows. The date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the revised terms; if you do not agree, discontinue use and request account deletion.
