AskMarcio wants every visitor and student to be able to use askmarcio.com and the AskMarcio Academy, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and to meet our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar laws, including Brazil's Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities Law (Lei Brasileira de Inclusão, Law 13,146/2015).

1. What we have done

Structure: pages use semantic landmarks, headings in logical order and labeled controls, so screen readers can navigate them.
Keyboard: menus, rooms, dialogs, the Module Console tabs, forms and AMi can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
Skip link: a skip-to-content control lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the interface to the main content.
Text alternatives: meaningful images have alternative text; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
Labels: icon-only buttons carry accessible names.
Motion: the opening sequence plays once per visit and can be skipped. If your device is set to reduce motion, the Site reduces or removes animation.
Sound: the Site never plays sound unless you choose to enter with sound, and sound can be turned off at any time.
Readability: minimum text sizes, color pairs chosen for contrast, and text that can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content.
Language: a built-in translator lets you read pages in your own language.
Credentials: certificates and transcripts are also available as text on their verification pages.

2. Known limitations

The three-dimensional space scenes and some animations of the Starbase interface are decorative and visual only. They carry no information that is not also available as text.
Machine translation quality depends on Google Translate and may be imperfect.
Some older Library items, such as embedded videos from third parties, may not have complete captions. YouTube's automatic captions are available on most videos.
Downloaded PDF credentials may not be fully tagged for screen readers; the same information is available as text on the credential's verification page.

We are working to fix these limitations.

3. Ask for help or an accessible format

If you find a barrier on any page, or need content in a different format, please write to hello@askmarcio.com with the page address, a description of the problem and the assistive technology you use, if any. We will respond within 5 business days and work to fix the barrier or provide the information in a format that works for you. If a barrier prevents you from completing a module test, we will provide a reasonable accommodation.

4. Ongoing review

We test new pages with keyboard navigation, screen readers and automated checks before they are published and review the Site regularly.
