Hello there! I’m Marcio Dpaulla, the guy behind AskMarcio.com, and I’ve had quite the journey over the last 30 years. My career’s been a colorful mix of business, accounting, education, and even a dash of homeland security. With each step, I’ve gathered a treasure trove of experiences that let me wear many hats and bring something special to the table wherever I go. My professional story started in Brazil in 1993. It was there that I honed my skills in business administration, accounting, and information technology. I found myself managing the financial and operational sides of small and medium businesses, always with an eye for making things better and more efficient. I love digging into problems and finding smarter ways to do things – it’s like a puzzle, and I’m all about putting the pieces together in the best way possible. Then, feeling a pull towards teaching, I shifted gears and moved to California. There, I began sharing my knowledge in adult schools and colleges, focusing on business administration. Teaching has been an incredible journey for me. Watching my students grow and succeed has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my career. There’s something special about passing on what you know and seeing it light up someone else’s path. In August 2022, I took a new turn and joined the Department of Homeland Security as a Transportation Security Officer in Washington State. This role has been a whole new world for me, filled with challenges and learning opportunities. It’s added a unique layer to my professional experience, allowing me to contribute in a meaningful way to public safety and community wellbeing. Change and learning have been constant companions in my career. I’m all about customer service, leadership, and embracing diversity and inclusion. Being fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, I can connect with a wide range of people, which I find incredibly rewarding. Through my diverse experiences, I’ve become a valuable resource for academics, business leaders, and professionals across various fields. I’m particularly excited about the impact I can have in my current role at the Department of Homeland Security, where I’m committed to making a difference for the agency, its stakeholders, and the community. I invite you to join me, Marcio Dpaulla, on this ongoing journey. I’m a leader and a dedicated professional, always looking to make waves of change and success wherever I go. Let’s see what we can achieve together!
